3 days after Noosa I caught a cold. Not any old cold, but the man cold. As I explain to people who struggle to understand the severity of this situation ( this some how seems to be only the girls who don't get it), if I was able to bring myself to get out of bed and dare go outside with this condition, to go to the local doctor, they would shake their head and say " I'm sorry I have bad news, there is nothing I can do for you" these words strike fear into the heart of the toughest man. There is nothing, I'm a lost cause, will I come out of this alive?
Of course I'm assured by my lovely fiancé that the reasoning behind that statement is due to the lack of seriousness of this plight, but I know that the doomed tone would imply that I needed some serious rest.
And that's what I did. Unfortunately it was a nasty virus that included nausea and as well as the traditional head cold with a sore throat.so training did take a break for 8 days, and then back into it slowly.
I have a race on the weekend that is only a short one so I think I will survive though I don't think I will be at peak.
Photos and a race update to come late Sunday
Cam :)
